This is a rare opportunity to spend time with Graham and Robert in Egypt (their first tour together in 3 years), you will have plenty of time to take part in group discussions and talk with them in person about the mysteries of Egypt and many other related topics. Robert and Graham will be sharing insights into the alternative history of Egypt and it’s much older time line.

You will spend time in the Great Pyramid King’s Chamber and experience the incredible acoustics inside. There is also a 3 day Nile cruise on a luxury ship, there will be time to relax, sunbathe and explore the exotic markets and unique night life of Egypt. We will leave the tourist trail and experience how modern day Egypt still retains many of it’s ancient roots giving you a real taste of what it was like in ancient times. Itinerary

CAIRO Day 1:

Arrive at Cairo International Airport. You will be met by our representative and helped through customs and immigration. You will then be taken by air-conditioned coach to your hotel near the Pyramids. You will be given your room and then, in the evening, there will be a general meeting and orientation with Robert Bauval (RB), followed by a buffet dinner. Plenty of vegetarian dishes as well as meat, poultry fish and salads are available. (Should you arrive with a late evening flight, the same will apply, except that a repeat orientation meeting will take place during breakfast the next day).

Day 2: Saqqara, dashour, red pyramid

Early wake up call and buffet breakfast at the hotel. This is followed by a full morning visit to the Step Pyramid complex at Saqqara. You will first visit the new Imhotep Museum. We will then visit and enter the Pyramid of Teti I which contains the celebrated Pyramid texts. You will see the famous colonnade and the great boundary wall of the Step Pyramid complex, as well as the jubilee court and the southern tomb with its magnificent cobra reliefs. Snack lunch will be offered on the way to Dashur. A full afternoon visit at the famous giant Dashur pyramids of Snefru, the father of Khufu You will see and enter the Red Pyramid. You will see the mysterious Bent Pyramid and enjoy a magnificent walk in the dunes that separate the two pyramids. Evening Lecture by RB/GH followed by a buffet dinner at the hotel.

Day 3: Giza pyramids, the sphinx & cairo museum

Early wake up call for a camel ride into the desert overlooking the Giza Plateau, take away breakfast from the hotel to enjoy with Tea from the Bedouin as the sun rises and the Pyramids come into view (this is one day you will be glad you got up early!). This is followed by a full morning escorted visit at the Giza Pyramids and Sphinx. You will see all three pyramids, the valley and mortuary temples and the Great Sphinx. On site ‘round table’ discussion with RB. Snack lunch will be offered on the coach on our way to the Cairo Museum. This visit will be at least three hours. There will be an evening lecture by RB/GH followed by a buffet dinner at Hotel.

Day 4: Optional day in Alexandria or day off to relax

Optional day in Alexandria , we will visit a local coffee shop, soak in the atmosphere of this historic town, visit the site of the Great Lighthouse (shown above) and have a lovely fish lunch with a fantastic view over the harbor. There will be time to do a spot of shopping before driving back to Cairo for dinner and then packing our suitcases for the early morning flight the following day.($65 includes transportation, lunch and Calche-horse and carriage ride)

Day 5: Aswan and drive to ABU SIMBEL

Early morning departure to domestic airport to fly to Aswan and drive across the beautifully scenic desert to Abu Simbel. Check into the Nefertari Hotel that has a stunning view of Lake Nasser, there will be time to unpack and take a swim before visiting the amazing night time sound and light show at Abu Simbel before returning to our hotel for a 3 course dinner.

Day 6: aswan quarry – Nubian museum

Very early wake up call to enjoy the sunrise at the Great Temples at Abu Simbel. Detailed visit inside the rock cut temples of Ramses II and his wife Nefertari as well as explore many of the beautifully carved side chambers before heading back to the hotel to check out and board the coach. There will be plenty of time to engage in lively discussions with Graham and Robert on the coach journey back to Aswan. We will make a visit to the ancient quarry and see the giant un-cut obelisk. Check into hotel and have some lunch. We will then visit the beautiful new Nubian museum. Dinner at hotel.

Day 7: Day on the Nile- Tombs of the nobles

After breakfast, we will have a wonderful all day sail boat ride on the Nial. We will visit the island of Elephantine, temple of Khnum, and the beautiful small temple of Satis, goddess of the Nile Flood. We will also see the ruins of one of the oldest synagogues in the world. We then sail to visit to visit the rock cut Royal tombs and you will have a chance to swim in the Nile followed by an authentic Nubian lunch at a house in the Nubian village which has some rather interesting pets… photo opportunity for the brave of heart! You will have time to do a spot of shopping in the local market before sailing back to the awaiting coach. After dinner we will have an escorted visit to Aswan market where you will have the opportunity to see the local life and also purchase souvenirs.

Day 8: Kom ombu

Breakfast then early morning departure by coach to lake Nasser, where we will be taken by boat to the lovely island of Philae. There we will visit the magnificent and very lovely temple of Isis. Drive back to Aswan to board the luxury Nile Cruiser. Buffet Lunch. Afternoon relax on sun deck while we sail towards Kom ombu. We then visit the superb temple of Sobek at Kom Ombo. Evening lecture by mystery guest.

Day 9: – temple of horus, edfu

Buffet Breakfast. We then will be taken by coach to the amazing and very inspiring temple of Horus at Edfu. Buffet Lunch. Afternoon relaxing and round table discussion on sun deck as we sail towards Luxor.

Day 10: ramesseum, valley of the kings & more

Buffet Breakfast. We then are taken by air-conditioned coach to the West Bank of Luxor. We will visit to Colossi of Memnon of Amenophis III, the great temple of Ramses III at Medinet Habu, and the huge and mysterious Ramesseum, we will visit the extraordinary temple of Hatchepsut set against the dramatic Theban Hills. We close our visit of the West Bank with a stroll in the Valley of the Kings and visit several tombs of pharaohs with their superb wall drawings and astronomical ceilings. Back on the boat for lunch. A special evening visit at the Luxor temple followed by buffet Dinner.

Day 11: karnak, luxor temple

Early morning wake up call for a dawn visit to the Great Temple of Amun-Ra at Karnak. Check into the Luxor hotel and have buffet Lunch. Relax in the afternoon around the pool, optional sunset boat trip on the Nile. Buffet Dinner.

Day 12: DENDERAH & ABYDOS

Buffet Breakfast. Early morning departure from Luxor by air-conditioned coach to Denderah and visit the magnificent temple of Hathor. We also visit there the birthrooms of Isis, and the ruins of the sacred lake. Snack Lunch. We continue along the Nile to Abydos and visit the temple with the most beautiful reliefs and wall painting, of Seti I. We will also see the mysterious Osireon which could be from an older civilization. We then continue our drive down the Nile to Al Minya. Late Dinner at hotel.

Day 13: Akhenaten’s city

Early morning visit to the city of Akhenaten at Tell el Amarna. We will visit the rock cut tombs of the nobles, the famous ‘boundary stela’ and the alleged tomb of Akhenaten himself. Snack Lunch on coach. We then drive to Cairo. Farewell Dinner at Cataract Pyramids Resort hotel.

Day 14: Leave Cairo

Transfer to Cairo International Airport. Departure home.

$2600 (US dollars) or equivalent in Euro or GP all inclusive based on double (2 people sharing) occupancy.
An extra $ 250 (US dollar) for single occupancy.

No special vaccines are needed for Egypt. However you may wish to get advice from you own doctor.
