Raymond started his career in England as a waiter at the Rose Revived Restaurant, and when the chef was taken ill one day he took over.

Love his new show on BBC, for a self taught chef, the level of ability achieved only came through incredible hard work and dedication to his craft.
The last series was great and very enjoyable. This is a chef not afraid to laugh at himself, and also to cut his finger every now and again.
Did you see the part where he cursed the maker of the whisk he was using because they did not see that some small adaptations could have made it possible to rest the whisk across the bowl.
Later he realized that it was a Raymond Blanc brand! all he could do was smile, priceless!
